If you are like me, horses have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I first learned to ride on shetland ponies as a kid and later got my first off-the-track Thoroughbred gelding in high school (he was my baby and later retired at home). And just a few years ago, I traded in my helmet and crop for jeans and spurs to pick up western riding! I do miss jumping and the lighter-weight English saddles (haha) but these days I enjoy riding my quarter horse mares and learning to rein and work cattle. I'm just happy on a horse :)
